Stephanie Johnson, PA-C, works as a physician assistant at Oklahoma Heart Institute.
Stephanie always knew she wanted to work as a physician assistant (PA) so that she could care for people in a multitude of ways. It wasn't until she was in PA school that she realized she wanted to focus on cardiology. She said it grabbed her attention because of the "...vast prevalence of heart disease in our country and the clear need for patient care in this area [Tulsa]."
"I want to serve as a listening ear and offer words of encouragement for others when they need it most, as well as carefully provide answers to questions surrounding my patients' health and wellbeing."
When it comes to staying healthy, Stephanie tells her patients to, "Take it one day at a time and don't worry about being perfect. Perfection is the enemy of good enough."
Stephanie earned her bachelor's degree in nutrition sciences from Baylor University in 2015. She then went on to graduate from Harding University in 2017 with a master's degree in physician assistant studies.
When Stephanie isn't working, she enjoys reading a good book, cooking up something new in the kitchen, traveling and spending time outside with her husband and dog.
