Dr. Daniel Kupsky, non-invasive cardiologist and computerized tomography (CT) imaging medical director joined OHI in October of 2022. After working in Texas, Minnesota, Michigan and California, he decided to move closer to family by settling in Tulsa.
Dr. Kupsky's education includes a medical degree from the University of Texas at Houston, an internal medicine residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota and a fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, Michigan.
“I just like helping people,” said Dr. Kupsky. “Sick hearts were always something I wanted to be involved with because of family experiences with them.”
As a non-invasive cardiologist, Dr. Kupsky finds and diagnoses cardiologic issues using CT, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and other imaging technology.
“I enjoy the plethora of information you get from not having to do invasive procedures, it’s always interesting to me,” said Dr. Kupsky.
Dr. Kupsky said he was drawn to Oklahoma Heart Institute for the facility’s advanced imaging services and research.
“I’ve worked in a lot of different places, and OHI is very advanced as far as how we deal with imaging of the heart,” said Dr. Kupsky. “One of the things that drew me here is the ability to take care of patients with the technology we have here. That’s not common in Oklahoma or even nationwide.”
Dr. Kupsky always reminds his patients that an overall healthy lifestyle with regular exercise and a well-balanced diet are extremely important to their cardiovascular health.
